Rising real estate prices in Montenegro

The real estate market in Montenegro has not only successfully survived the pandemic - it has grown significantly. According to the country's central bank, foreigners bought €410 million worth of real estate in 2022. Most of the investments were in properties on the coast.
The country has a convenient tax system. When purchasing, you pay only 3% of the property price. However, from 2024 this tax will increase: for premium properties - from €500 thousand - it will be €22 thousand plus 6% from an amount exceeding half a million euros.
The annual real estate tax is absolutely minimal, ranging from 0.1 to 1.0% of the price of the property.
The annual growth of the tourism sector in Montenegro is 6%, according to this indicator the country ranks fifth among all countries in the world. People come here, relax here, and most importantly, rent here.
Montenegro has fantastic panoramas, lush gardens, colorful mountains. But at the same time, everything you need is often within walking distance, and there is no need to constantly travel by car.
